Sturdy backing and solid pitching rubber. It's light enough to carry but hefty enough that it doesn't move around when pitching.

Contemplated whether or not to buy this as it is costly. However, we changed our mind once our 10 year old daughter started practicing her pitching using this. If your player is serious about pitching, get it sooner than later. Same training mats used in our high school program. Great for indoor and outdoor practice. Pitching rubber is attached to produce good leg drive and the power line is nicely painted. Seems high quality, thick base with great artificial turf (not the cheap rug material). We have been using it 4-5x per week for 1 month. We roll it up after using it. Would definitely buy it again!
