My fast-pitch pitcher LOVES THIS MAT, and says that it feels so much better on her knees. She says it is better than even the expensive turf on an indoor school practice area. I observed her using one before that was made of a rubber conveyor belt, outdoors on a foggy day. A rubber-only mat she can slip on. She doesn't slip on this mat. I also observe that her pitching speed improved since she got it. I would buy the mat again in a heartbeat, and will recommend that the team buy one or two of the mats.
